U should go with a blonde but not bleach blonde since u say ur hair color is light try to get it as close as u can without letting it blend in make it stand out a little I would suggest a dirty blonde.

go to a beaty salon and look in the hair example books. they have a lot of example of different ways to highlight your hair and you can just pick the one you like the best and think that it will look good on you.
