What color to highlight my hair?

I have dark brown hair and I am wanting to get it highlighted. I have in the past highlighted it with Blond streaks and also have highlighted it with Red streaks.





I am fair complected and my hair is a dark brown. I don't want it to look too freakish, but what what color would look best?
