What do you think would be a good choice?!What's the best color highlight for black hair?
I have dark hair too and found highlights were not the solution. Instead, I went for low lights, in a reddish copper tone. They can check it as it progresses and stop the process when you find the colour you like.
Mind you, if you are wanting to go for shock, why not try an under layer of magenta read, just at the back? Or, if you like, I've seen some black haired ladies go with a few white/ grey streaks. Think of your own personal style and the kind of clothes you wear and the kind of environments you live in, and then decide. What's the best color highlight for black hair?
redish orangish is good
blue is really cool
Hi. I have the same type of hair and if you go for a dark highlight, it might not show up. Thus, you would need a strong highlighter - I strongly recommend a tint made with henna- to show up. I also have experimented with double color processing to allow highlights to be seen but it damages hair.

red or light brown
some light brown highlights would look good
I think red/burgundy, maybe purple would look good.
Red.
Depends on undertone colors in face. You can walk into any salon and ask what your undertone color is.I personaly look good w/ blue .Go in salon n ask you might be suprised w/ what they say, try it though.I think uuusual colors are hot!
I would say either a hint of blue so as to give the black a raven effect or else a very deep red to give definition to the hair... do not go for very light colours it will make you look old.
Bright RED!
Red
Shocks of white highlights.
Probably a dark brown, with a hint of reddy brown. Make sure its really dark, consult a hairdresser too. Also as your hair is curly, you should only do highlights which are thin, if you have thick highlights and curls, it will look unnatural.
If you want to be crazy ( like me! ) you could add in purples! That would look amazing!
Sounds so pretty the way it is...
Find a celebrity that's close to your complexion and go from there! If it looks right on them, it should look right on you. I do it all the time!
BROWN!!!
Depends,on the skin complexion.Red ,light brown and copper will look very nice.
Eggplant color. go to a professional. It will give your hair a sparkle in the sunlight.
