I wanted a bright color that would look punk, and I have shoulder-length black hair. something a middle schooler would have..What color highlight would look good on black hair?

You should get side bangs or what other people call ';a side fringe';.

And get like red, aqua blue, blue, or purple underneath the bangs with your black on top.


Then you shouldn't get highlights, you should get the underneath of your hair the same color as the bangs.


I wouldn't get pink because pink ruins your hair and is the hardest to get out.

Don't get red. My friend got red and she had to re-dye it allll the time. It wouldn't stay in for more than a few days. I talked to my stylist and she said Red is just one of those colors that CAN'T be permanent, no matter what you try.





I think Purple looks amazing in black hair! Make sure to dye it platinum first.
